HCAN Navigators

The health centers play a vital role in helping Nebraskans understand their options for health insurance and assistance in the state.  Navigators are trained and educated in the different options for health insurance.  They provide free application and enrollment assistance and education on financial assistance programs. The one-on-one attention provided by the Navigator ensures that you know the options available to you for your budget, health, and future.

Navigators are Trained in:

  • Health Insurance Marketplace/ ACA (Affordable Care Act)
  • Medicaid/Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP)
  • SNAP (food stamps)
  • General Assistance
  • Sliding fee scale (income-based)
  • Medicaid Unwind and Returning to Regular Operations
